WHEN IS ENOUGH, ENOUGH?
Tuesday's answer is an unequivocal, NEVER! Just because the economy has slowed down or gas is 4 dollars a gallon...that's no reason to stop your advertising campaign frequency - particularly broadcast advertising. In fact...it's time to STEP UP your ad campaign with even MORE frequency.
Why do we say this? Do you think Coke will advertise less in the coming months? Do you think Pepsi will? Do you think Pizza Hut will? How about McDonald's? Companies like Coke have been around long enough to know better. Of course, Coke's budget may be a little larger than the typical local advertiser...but, that doesn't mean it's time to lay down the gauntlet and let the next advertiser run your client out of business.
